The Procedure
Brow lift surgery is performed with the aid of an endoscope. A series of incisions is made on the scalp in the hairline through which the tissues are tightened. A fiber-optic endoscope camera is inserted into one of the incisions, and the specialized endoscopic instruments are inserted into another. The camera allows Dr. Batra to see the tissues of the forehead without having to make longer incisions that would result in more post-operative scarring. This technique allows for the correction of mild to moderate signs of facial aging without requiring extensive scarring or recovery time.
Combination Procedures
Brow lift surgery targets aging on the upper third of the face. As many patients also experience noticeable aging in other regions, additional procedures may be performed to complement a brow lift.
- Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) is performed to lift drooping upper eyelids, reduce puffy bags beneath the eyes, and minimize the appearance of crow’s feet.

The recovery period of an endoscopic brow lift will depend on the extent of your procedure; however, it is typically easily managed. Your forehead will be wrapped in a dressing that will protect the incisions and help reduce bruising and swelling. Your head should remain elevated at all times during your initial recovery period, even when you sleep. Most individuals return to work within one week, and all other activities can be resumed after four weeks.
